There's something about the way the autumn air gently whips through the windows tossing a gentle breeze across my face accompanied by the laughter of my young daughter as she toddles across the floor, that throughs my heart for a loop and I'm reminded just how smitten with this life I've been blessed with.
Music fills in the background of our day to day life as it gently plays on the stereo, accompanied and inner twined with sweet baby giggles and shrieks of excitement. The air is usually filled with freshly cooked meals -we love to cook here- or the fragrance of a crackling wooden wick candle in the air.
This life. Oh how grateful I am to be living it, and even more joyfully and gracious that I get to spend it as a wife to the love of my life; and as a mama to a little girl, who ultimately changed my world. This life we live, just us three, is a quiet, simple life that's perfectly imperfect and fills my heart to the brim.
This blog. I love to write and tell the story of my heart; there's something freeing about letting your heart pour through your fingers as it seemingly flows seamlessly across the keyboard and into the screen.
My hope for this space is to pour myself into it with the snippets of our life that I hold so dear. I can't put into this space anything we don't have, just the simplicity of our every days.
My darling husband, who loves me more than I could ever wish, and truly is my best friend. The one who balances me out and make me laugh even when I want to cry.
My sweet babe, the one who we spend years praying for accompanied by her radiating smile and footed pajamas.
The food that we create that I want to share with you and keep for me to remember how delicious it was.
The journeys and adventures that have been part of this life. Soaking up the outdoors, the heartbreak, the rejoicing, inspiration and the lessons learned.
And me, an artistic, optimistic, slightly messy and ultimately simple girl that tries to breathe in every bit of this life I get to live. A curly haired, simple girl originally from the Midwest living in the great state of Colorado that is Joyfully Smitten with this life I've been blessed with & the two special people that own my heart.
This space is, a space for me, a space for my kiddos to read about the thoughts inside of their mama's head and heart and maybe it's a space for you, too, whoever you are that might be reading this.
